The High School Awards Assembly Ceremony is today at 9:30 am in the new gym. Due to the capital project construction, please park in the parking lot and walk up the access road to enter the gym through the side doors.. Handicap parking is available.

Times: 9:00-11:00
It takes about an hour to build and decorate, so the latest you may arrive would be at 10 to start this project. We hope to see you here!
K-2nd grade Parents must attend with students. Feel free to bring your coffee, tea, or water with you.

Congratulations to all of the SCS students that participated in the NYSSMA solo festival yesterday in Norwich! Stamford had 24 students attend performing a total of 33 solos, earning 8 gold scores and 24 silver scores.
Good Morning, Stamford Community. This is Brad Countermine, Principal of Stamford Central School calling to remind you that we will be practicing our evacuation drill to South Kortright tomorrow, May 2nd. Students being picked up early, MUST be picked up by noon so we have an accurate attendance for our drill. We will be leaving the building at 12:45 and driving to South Kortright. We anticipate returning between 1:30 and 1:45pm. Students will ride their regular bus home. Walkers and parent pick ups will be returned to Stamford. You DO NOT need to pick up your child at South Kortright. Please contact the Main Office with any questions. Thank you.
Good morning, Stamford Community. This is Brad Countermine, principal of Stamford Central School calling to provide you with important information. Due to the capital project, the basketball entrance steps will be removed starting Monday, April 29th. This phase of the project will last approximately 30 days. During this time, there will be machinery, cones, and tape in the North Parking Lot. You will still be able to drop off and pick up your children as usual.
There will be no CROP tonight, April 25, 2024, due to staff training.
As part of our NYSED (New York State Education Department) required safety plan, it’s necessary to practice our reunification plan. Next Thursday, May 2nd, students and staff will be testing the reunification plan. If you are planning on picking up your child early on May 2nd, you MUST pick them up by noon. At 12:45, we will be leaving the building to evacuate to South Kortright. At South Kortright, we will take attendance. Students that ride the bus home will board their buses at South Kortright and dismiss from there. Students that walk or are picked up at Stamford will return to Stamford Central School at approximately 1:30pm. You DO NOT need to pick up your students at South Kortright. This is just a drill. We appreciate your support and patience as we implement our safety plan for students and staff. Please contact the Main Office with any questions.
Stamford Community, please join us for the Middle School and High School Band and Chorus concert on Monday, April 22 in the auditorium. Student participants should arrive by 6:15pm to the band room. The concert starts at 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
Boys modified baseball practice will be at Jefferson afterschool today, you will ride the bus with varsity softball to Jefferson.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be at SCS starting next week, 4/22-4/29. Please see attached flyer for more information.
There is no varsity tennis match today. There will be practice in the new gym right after school. Modified baseball will practice in Jefferson right after school, bus leaves here at 3:05. Modified softball practice will be in Jefferson from 5-6:30. Bus for practice leaves Stamford at 4:45. Track is in the new gym right after school. There is no varsity softball or baseball practice today.
The girl’s varsity softball game has been moved from Jefferson to Archibald Field today. Modified softball practice will now be right after school at Jefferson. The rest of the weekly schedule stays as is. All buses will leave right after school, please get ready as soon as the final bell rings and get to the bus loop. Thank you.
The varsity baseball game in Charlotte Valley has been postponed today due to unplayable field conditions. Varsity baseball has practice afterschool in Jefferson, you will get on the track bus right after school that is heading to Jefferson. ALL other practices/games/meets are on as scheduled and reflected on the weekly schedule. Any questions, see Coach Brown.
